Mr. Kreis is an “AV” rated attorney which is the highest rating given by Martindale Hubbell.  Mr. Kreis is a senior shareholder in the firm and founding partner.

• Developed a distinguished family law and business practice, which has earned the respect of regional practitioners as well as state and federal judges.
• Successfully tried corporate and divorce suits involving millions of dollars on a regular basis throughout his career.
• Has argued cases before the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court, many of which are published.
• Regularly involved in matters involving issues regarding qualified and nonqualified stock options, unfunded executive retirement plans, qualified retirement plans and the evaluation of closely held businesses.
• Has been consulted by other lawyers to give expert testimony pertaining to these issues.

He is past president of the Kalamazoo County Family Law Bar Association, a post he has held for the last three years, and the Kalamazoo Country Club.  He has served on the Board of Directors to the Western Michigan University business school, the Kalamazoo Bar Association, the Kalamazoo Optimist Hockey Association,  and the Western Michigan University Alumni Association. Mr. Kreis was also president and/or chairman of a number of committees serving Western Michigan University’s athletic program, as well as a number of non-profit entities in and around greater Kalamazoo.
